Past Continuous: When to use?

Als iets langere tijd in het verleden bezig was.

We were watching my favourite show yesterday.

He was playing football for hours last night.

Past Continuous: How to use?

(+) was/were + ww-ing --> was/were walking

(-) was/were + not + ww-ing --> was/were not walking

(?) Was/Were + onderwerp + ww-ing --> Was/Were ... walking

LET OP! Uitzonderingen!

ww '-e': to lose --> losing

ww klinker - medeklinker: to run --> running

MAAR: to snow --> snowing & to fix --> fixing

ww '-ie': to die --> dying
