Present Simple (negative)

Normale zin in de Present Simple:

- I play computer games on Saturdays

Dezelfde zin maar dan in de negatieve vorm:

- I don't play computer games on Saturdays

Present Simple (negative) 

Maar hoe zit dat dan met he, she en it? 

Normale zin in de Present Simple:

- She plays the piano on Sundays

Dezelfde zin maar dan in de negatieve vorm:

- She doesn't play the piano on Sundays

Let op: Als je doesn't gebruikt vervalt de 's' achter het ww

Normale zin in de Present Simple:

- We go to school on Mondays

Dezelfde zin maar dan in de vragende vorm: 

- Do we go to school on Mondays?

Present Simple (questions) 

Maar hoe zit dat dan met he, she en it? 

Normale zin in de Present Simple:

- She plays the piano on Sundays

- Does she play the piano on Sundays?

Let op: Als je does gebruikt vervalt de 's' achter het ww

Adverbs of frequency

Welke bijwoorden van tijd moet je weten in deze unit?

never = nooit

sometimes = soms

often = vaak

always = altijd

Hoe gebruik je deze woorden in een zin?

Bijwoorden van tijd komen op de volgende plekken:

In een zin met:

één werkwoord: voor het werkwoord

- I often go to school by bike.

- Daisy never walks to the store.

Uitzondering: het werkwoord 'to be' 

In een zin met een vorm van to be, komt het bijwoord altijd na de vorm van to be:

He is never going to school by bike.

Anne and Peter are often late.

I am always here by 8 o'clock.

Maar hoe zit het dan als je twee werkwoorden in een zin hebt?

Na het eerste werkwoord:

Barbara has never seen an elephant.

They will always go to the zoo.
