Low pressure
  • Air expands when it’s hot, this reduces its density. Warm air rises.
  • Higher in the atmosphere it hits the ceiling and moves sideways
  • Air cools down and causes precipitation

Slide 13 - Slide

This item has no instructions

High pressure
When the temperature drops the process is reversed:
  • Air contracts, density increases and the air descents.
  • This air flows on the earths surface to a low pressure area

Slide 14 - Slide

Wind
Wind occurs due to difference in air pressure.
