Audit Committee
  •  The audit committee's responsibilities and election are described in the Dutch Law: Burgerlijk Wetboek Article 48.
  • Each year the general meeting appoints a committee of at least two persons from the members, who may not be members of the board. The committee investigates the account of the board and reports its findings to the general meeting.
  • If the examination of the accounts requires special accounting knowledge, the committee may be assisted by an expert. The board is obliged to provide the committee with all the information it requires, to show the cash and the values if desired, and to give it access to the books and documents of the association.
  • The commission to the committee may be revoked at any time by the general meeting, but only by the appointment of another committee.

Slide 31 - Slide

You can make the picture bigger, but everything is written in the statutes of EMSA.

Mention that since the audit committee was not announced during the last GMA, we had to form a committee prior to this meeting so that they would have time to review the balance and expenditure. However, we will still vote for them now.
Do you approve (...), to be in the Audit Committee?
Yes
No

Slide 32 - Poll

Mention the name during the meeting and click on previous arrow when Boutaina has finished writing down the results of the poll.
Would you be willing to pay a fixed yearly sadaqah as a member as a way to increase financial means in the association?
Yes, definitely!
No, I prefer you look for other means.

Slide 33 - Poll

This is like a fixed Sadaqah, better estimation of the whole year. This is also better for planning of the bigger events especially. Then we know what we can organise and there is a higher chance for us to organise quality events or invite popular speakers, like they did previous years. OR Sadaqah. Mention the membership fee for the members of Salamah and based on what is decided to either view it as Sadaqah or email salamahtwente@gmail.com to ask a certain amount back with a reason. If GMA chooses the fixed sadaqah of 10 euros, the ones who already paid Salamah don’t have to pay again and will automatically be members of EMSA.

Abu Dharr (rA) once asked the Prophet (s), “Will you not appoint me as a leader?” He replied, “O Abu Dharr, you are weak, and it is a position of public trust. Verily, on the Day of Resurrection, it will only result in regret, except for one who takes it by right and fulfils its duties” (Muslim).
