1.  Check in &  start-up (7 mins) > Read, DuoLingo or vocab

2. Oefenen voor a speaking assignment - uitleg.

3. Think  - Pair  - Share  (15 mins)

 Discuss adverts, what are the places where people can buy (focus on meaning)  

What is your best or worst buy secondhand or new item? (focus on meaning) 

Have you ever sold anything on ebay/ marktplaats (focus on meaning, generate discussion/ chat) 

Show examples of good & bad advertisements on Markplaats / youtube / joke film about a wrongly purchased item (9 out of 10 cats) ((P159) 

Explanation of the goal of this lessonserie:  

At the end of this lesson(serie) you will have written an advertisement of approximately 100 words  

you will have thought about questions which potential buyers might have and what answers you will give. 

You will ask questions about classmates' advertisements 

 

Instruction and explanation of the task: think of an item at home which you want to sell and write an advertisement of approximately 100 words. If you cannot think of anything you can also pick one of the things on the board (have a picture with sellable items) 

 

What do you think are the requirements for a really good advertisement?: (information gap 1) 

Think, pair, share.  

Think for a minute and write some requirements down.  

Then share and compare with your neighbor and complete your list. 

Then I will ask you all to share 2 thing you wrote down per group. (I will write it on the board.) >> And leave it there. MENTIMETER 

 

  8. Close off having collected information – Have it ready to bring to class tomorrow (lesbezoek!) 

 

HUISWERK:: Take a picture of something you want to sell and bring it to class tomorrow.

• Voor elk plaatje schrijf je woorden op die je zou kunnen gebruiken om  1 min over het onderwerp te praten. NL of ENG  ( 5 mins)
• Als we klaar zijn met plaatjes dan zoek je woorden op die je niet kent. Gebruik woordenboek of telefoon (3 mins). 
• Als je klaar bent dan lees je het aan 2 buurvrouw / man voor.  1 minuut per onderwerp! Maak samen zo goed mogelijke zinnen . Schrijf deze op! (7  mins)
