There are 5 main question types that you may encounter:
  • Short answer questions
  • Multiple choice questions
  • Matching
  • Complete the sentences or summary
  • Direct and indirect questions

Short answer question
Write a short phrase or sentence to answer the question.
For example: "Which reason did Mary give for her choice?"
  • Do's : Pay attention to your spelling, answer with information from the audio.
  • Don'ts: Answer with your opinion, go over the number of words you can write (if they specify it).

Listening strategies
  1. Voor het luisteren-> Lees de vraag goed. Denk aan het onderwerp. Wat weet je er al over? En welke Engelse woorden ken je al? 
  2. Tijdens het luisteren-> Concentreer en focus op keywords. Als je niet alles verstaat is dat niet erg, luister naar de de context en het geheel
  3. Na het luisteren-> Denk aan de boodschap van het fragment. Vul de vraag in en lees meteen de volgende vraag.
