'I have been waiting here for hours!'
Als je iets (te) lang vindt duren, dus irritatie tonen
Als je aan wil geven dat iets het gevolg is van iets in het verleden dat toen een lange tijd duurde.
Signaalwoorden: lately, for hours, all day, for ages, for a long time.
Die tijd gebruik je om acties en situaties te beschrijven die gestart zijn in het verleden en nu nog steeds aan de gang zijn. Je vormt deze tijd met een vorm van to have, het voltooid deelwoord van to be (= been) en het hoofdwerkwoord dat eindigt op -ing.
