Before we continue: Work with a mate while writing. Before you write discuss the demands on the next slide. Report back for clarification. 

The assignment

You are writing an email to your aunt Mimi in Australia:

Incorporate the following:

- uses lay-out of informal letter/email

- give 2 examples of activities done in last 2 weeks during the corona outbreak(past tense)

- give 2 examples of things you are going to do the next week (future tenses)

- Ask 2 questions about the situation in Australia.

- Use appropriate vocab (from the theme as well)

Weekendje Manchester

Je gaat met een groep leerlingen en je docent Engels voor een weekendje naar Manchester . De bedoeling van het reisje is om de Engelse taal te oefenen. Op de site van Manchester United lees je dat je de kaartjes van tevoren kan boeken om een stadion van Manchester United te bezoeken. Alle leerlingen zouden het leuk vinden om een rondleiding met een gids bij te wonen. Je stuurt een e-mailbericht naar [e-mail] waarin je informatie vraagt.

• Open de brief op een passende wijze

• Stel jezelf voor (min 4 zinnen: wie je bent, waar je woont, je opleiding enz.)

• Schrijf hoe je de informatie over de tours gevonden hebt

• Vertel dat je naar Manchester gaat met je klasgenoten en de docent (vermeld de data, hoeveel personen komen en wat de bedoeling van jullie reisje is)

• Vraag op welke dagen het mogelijk is om het stadion van Manchester United te bezoeken 

• Schrijf dat jullie voorkeur naar zaterdagochtend gaat. Zaterdagmiddag zijn jullie van plan om naar het theater te gaan. 

• Vraag hoeveel de kaarten zouden kosten en of het mogelijk is om een korting te krijgen. 

• Stel nog twee vragen (zelf bedenken)

• Vraag in een slotzin om een snelle reactie

• Sluit op passende wijze af
