Er komt do/does/did vooraan in de zin:

I always walk in de park.

Do I always walk in the park?

He liked her a lot.

Did he like her a lot?

They want to go to the cinema.

Do they want to go to the cinema?

Met vraagwoorden:

who: Who is there?

what: What were you doing?

when: When does the train arrive?

where: Where does she teach?

why: Why do we have a test?

how: How did they do on the test?

She wanted to see that film.

They have known each other for years.

He should have gone home.

He went to school yesterday.
(use where)

My friends are on holiday.

I went there by train.
(use how)

Indirect Questions

Bij indirecte vragen komen de vraagwoorden na de beleefdheids uitdrukking:

Can you tell me where I can find the book?

Do you know when the train leaves?

Could you tell me what this is?

ja/nee vragen

Tussen de beleefdheids uitdrukking en de vraag komt if:

Do you know if Tom will be there?

Can you tell me if the store is open?

Could you see if everything is there?

Do you know where she went?

Dezelfde woordvolgorde als een bevestigende zin.

Je gebruikt geen do/does/did

He went to the cinema.

They are in the house.

The shop is over there.

There is nobody here.

We can't go out tonight.

They speak Spanish in Spain.
