Woordvolgorde. Hoe zat dat ook alweer? Zet op de goede volgorde:
wanneer - waar - wie - wat - doet

Wie doet wat waar wanneer

He watched a film on television at home last weekend.

He = wie

watched = doet

a film = wat

at home = waar

last weekend = wanneer

Another example

She was walking a couple of rounds in the park yesterday.

She = wie

was walking = doet

a couple of rounds = wat

in the park = waar

yesterday = wanneer

Adjectives

Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord zegt iets over het zelfstandig naamwoord (ZN) in de zin. Een ZN is altijd een mens, dier, of ding.

In de zin komt het bijvoeglijk naamwoord dan altijd vóór het ZN.

Voorbeeld: The tall girl was running in the basketball court.

Er kunnen ook 2 bijvoeglijke naamwoorden in een zin staan:

Adjectives

Soms zegt het bijvoeglijk naamwoord ook iets over het onderwerp in de zin.

Voorbeeld: He is wonderful at what he does.

He = onderwerp, wonderful zegt iets over hem.

Dan staan ze achter het werkwoord.

Het gaat hierbij om de werkwoorden als:

to be, to look, to appear, to feel, to taste, to become en to seem
