present simple
You use the present simple for facts and for events that happen regularly. A few adverbs that indicate regularity are: always, usually, often, regularly.
He usually goes to work by bike.
This is a habit, most mornings he takes the bike.

present continuous
You use the present continuous to say something is happening right now or to show you are irritated.
When the verb ends in -e you drop the -e and add -ing, as in leave – leaving.
But today he is driving his car to work.
