And, so, like, because.


I am hungry. I must eat.
I am hungry, so I must eat.

Comparison (vergelijking): than introduces the second element in a comparison

I would rather have a humburger for breakfast. Not yoghurt
I would rather have a hamburger than yoghurt for breakfast.

Never use then to compare.
