• Bevestigende zin: some            I'd like some water, please. 
  

• Ontkennende zin: any                 I don't have any water left. 
  
  Let op!
  Bij bestigende zinnen met ontkennende woorden gebruik je ook any. 
  > never, without, hardly

• Vragende zin:     Some als je het antwoord ja verwacht
                                      Any als je geen idee hebt welk antwoord je krijgt. 

• Can I have some of those sweets, please?
  

• Do you have any papers left?
