Remember? GRAMMAR
  • an adjective (bijvoeglijk naamwoord) says something about a noun (person, animal, thing).
    A nice girl. A sweet dog. A huge house.

  • an adverb (bijwoord) says something about a verb
    He talks quickly

Hoe herken je een adverb? Meestal aan toevoeging -LY-
Adverb can also say something about another adjective or another adverb. 
She is terribly funny.
He talks terribly quickly.

Extra regel
Bij sommige werkwoorden krijg je nooit een adverb, maar altijd adjective. Hier zijn een paar voorbeelden (leer ze!)
  • to be (zijn) > You are awesome.
  • to seem (lijken) > You seem smart.
  • to feel (zich voelen) > I feel tired.
  • to look (eruitzien) > You look wonderful.
  • to smell (ruiken) > That smells nice....
  • to sound (klinken) > Your guitar sounds awful.
  • to taste (smaken) > That pizza tastes delicious.
Let goed op bij het huiswerk! Deze regel komt er in terug.
