- Describe Push- and Pull-factors

After WWII 32% of people were considering to leave (1948). Mainly because of:

- Lack of sufficient housing

- Unemployment

- Negative economic prospects

5% really migrated between 1945-1955

SA because culture close due to Boeren

Canada & USA --> Economic reasons (aka economic migrants)

Migration to former colonies

Surinam 

Antilles 

Mostly people with roots in the Antilles or Surinam migrate back here.

Sometimes it is also return migration.

For Indonesia there is not as much migration back.
