Adverbs of manner

To form adverbs from adjectives, add -ly

Bad - badly

beautiful - beautifully

For adjectives that end in -y change -y into -ily

angry - angrily

happy - happily

good - well

Some adjectives don't change:

early, hard, straight

They usually come after the direct object

OR

(if there is no object) after the verb
