Pitfalls

• Woorden die dezelfde uitspraak hebben, maar een andere schrijfwijze en betekenis.
• Zorg dat je er niet intrapt! (Of valt!)

Lesdoel

• Je kunt woorden die op elkaar lijken uit elkaar houden. 
• Je kent de betekenis van woorden die dezelfde uitspraak hebben. 
• Je kunt goede zinnen maken met woorden die op elkaar lijken. 

You're / Your

You're -> verkorte vorm van "you are" = jij bent. 

Your -> bezittelijk voornaamwoord: van "you", van jou. 

Your / you're

• Your: bezittelijk voornaamwoord van jou / you
• Your website is offline / Jouw website is offline. 

• You're : you are /jij bent
• You're the best singer ever.

• Their -> bezittelijk voornaamwoord van "they": (van) hun.

• Their dog is sick. (Hun hond is ziek). 
• There: geeft een plaats aan; Daar, of betekent Er

• There is not much milk left in the fridge.

It's a miracle / het is een wonder. 

Its gaat om eigenaarschap: 

The dog started to bark when the mailman stole its bone. 

Its betekent hier dus het bot van de hond. 

She has lost her phone, but she thinks ______ in her car.
