Ss learn vocabulary related to food and drink. They also learn about countable and uncountable nouns and quantifiers. 

The context is a listening where people talk on a podcast about food they love.

To start

What food do you like or dislike? Make a list with at least 5 items. 

 Watch the video and compare your list to the answers given.

Tell Ss the last thing you had to eat and drink (e.g. ‘For breakfast this morning I had some toast and a cup of coffee.’). Put Ss in small groups to talk about the last things they had to eat and drink.

What is their favorite food?

What food do they not talk about?

Speak English & listen to each other.

When you have finished, one student will summarize.

1. Check if Ss understand the questions.. 

2. Share some of your own answers.

3. Ss work in groups of 3-4. 

4. Monitor for later class feedback. 

5. Finished, nominate a student from each group to share their ideas with the class. Go over any common errors and/or examples of good language use with the class.
