The different types of Vehicles

The Battle tank (BT):

- Heavily armoured;

- Equipped with a 360 degree rotatable tower;

- A main armament for flat-track fire 

(vlakbaan vuur) with a caliber of 75mm or more;

- Intended for taking out armored targets;

- Not designed and equipped for transporting infantry.

Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC)

-Armoured;

-  Terrain-capable  by means of track 

or pneumatic (lucht) tires;

- A main armament for flat track fire 

(vlakbaan vuur) for a caliber of less than 20mm;

- Designed and equipped for the transport of infantry.

Heavy Armament Combat Vehicle (HACV)

-Armoured;

-  Terrain-capable by means of 

track or pneumatic tires;

- A main armament for flat-track fire 

(vlakbaan vuur) with a caliber of 75mm or more;

- An unloaden weight greater than 6 tons;

(Armoured) Engineer Vehicle (A)EV)

- (un)armoured;

- Terrain-capable by means of 

track or pneumatic tires;

- Designed and equipped for 

performing engineering tasks.

(Armoured) Vehicle Laying 

Bridge (AVLB)

- (Un)armoured;

- Terrain-capable by means of 

track or pneumatic tires;

- A self-propelled (zichzelf voortbewegend) 

armoured vehicle or truck that can transport 

a bridge and place and remove a bridge 

using a built-in (ingebouwd) mechanism.
