• Carbon dioxide (CO2) levels higher in air we exhale.

• At the and of the bronchioles are alveoli.

• This is where gasexchange happens.

• Alveoli are surrounded by lung capillaries (small bloodvessels)

• Thin walls of the alveoli and capillaries & big surface area of alveoli cause rapid gasexchange.

Oxygen from air -> blood from lung capillaries

Blood transports oxygen to all the cells.

Where the blood picks up carbon dioxide and brings it to the lungs.

Carbon dioxide from blood -> to air in alveoli
