Listen to the sentences and write them down carefully.

Hoe maak ik de:
1. Past Simple
2. Present perfect?

You can use the present perfect and the past simple to talk about the past. 

You use the past simple for events that happened in the past.

"I went to a rock concert yesterday. "

"We didn’t win the talent show two days ago. "

"Was he on the news last week?"

You can use the present perfect for: 

– events that have started in the past and are still going on; 

– experiences.

"We have waited in line for hours."

"Have you forgotten our tickets? Now we can't get in!"

"I haven’t been to live concerts before."

Bij de present perfect is er een connectie naar het heden.

"I have seen many things in Paris."

(daar ben ik waarschijnlijk nog steeds.)

Bij de past simple hebben wij het over dingen die klaar zijn.

"I saw many things in Paris."

(nu ben ik er niet meer.)

op de toets moet je het volgende kunnen:

"I _____ (to be) in London since 1996."

"I _____ (to be) in London yesterday."

Past simple:

yesterday, last year, ago

Present perfect:

never, just, for, since, yet, recently, already, ever
