Goal: you know what to expect on the reading exam

Algemene informatie

• Het examen bestaat alleen uit leesvragen
• Meestal zijn het iets meer dan 40 vragen
• Vaak zijn er +/-  15 teksten om te lezen
• Je krijgt 3 boekjes: tekstboekje, vragenboekje, antwoordenboekje
• Er zit geen brief meer in het examen (voorheen wel)
• Je examen duurt 2 uur (2,5 bij E.T)

Good to know about the texts

• Newspapers (times, guardian are popular) 
• Topics: sports, animals/insects , school, foods / restaurants travelling, psychology (behavior), person doing something extraordinary, outstanding news 
• From time to time: instructional text 

Good to know about questions

2 - 4 yes/no/correct/incorrect

Lots and lots of multiple choice (about 75% of the exam)

The exam starts with a short text with has 1 multiple choice question to get you warmed up. 

Your first long text is probably  text 3

Know these: 

What is the point made -> welk punt word er gemaakt, wat wil de schrijver over brengen? 

What is the function of -> wat is de functie, wat is het nut? 

What can be concluded -> welke conclusie kunnen we trekken? wat begrijpen we hieruit? 

What is the goal ?-> wat is het doel? waarom is dit toegevoegd?

What is mentioned ? -> wat word er gezegd

What becomes clear?-> wat word er duidelijk?
