Put the tables in groups of 5.

We are going to play some speaking games.

Games

•  30-seconds
• Who or what am I?
  
• Questions from the jar
• Pictionary
  
• Stop!
• Charades
• 5 minutes per game.
  
• Write down your score. Winner gets a price!
  

30 Seconds

•  Work in teams of 2 or 3 people.
  
• One of the team grabs a card from the pile.
  
• There are 5 words on the card.
  
• One person describes the words, the others guess. No pointing, no sounds.
  
• The other team keeps track of the time
• Write down how many point you have. Correct word=1 point.
  
• Who has most points at the end of the round wins.
  

who/what am I?

•  Put a post-it on your forehead.
  
• On the post-it someone on your left writes down an item, person or animal.
  
• Take turns asking yes/no questions.
  
• Is the answer yes? You can ask another question.
  
• Is the answer no? The next person gets to ask questions.
  
• The first to guess what's on their card gets 5 points, second 4, third, 3 etc.
  

Questions from the jar

•  In pairs or groups of 3.
  
• Grab a card from the jar and answer the question.
  
• Done? Get a new one.
  

Pictionary

•  Divide the group in two teams.
  
• Grab a card
• Draw the word you see on a piece of paper
• Your teammates try to guess what it is.
  
• For every correctly guessed word = 1 point
• Guessed a card? The next one in the team starts drawing.
  

Stop!

•  Pick someone to start. The person on their left will start saying the alphabet in their head. The person who starts says stop.
  
• Write down a word for every category with the letter that was named as quicly as possible.
  
• Done? Say stop and everyone has to tell what they had.
  
• Are you the only one with that answer? 2 points.
  
• Did someone else have your answer as well? 1 point.
  

Charades

•  2 teams
• One in the team picks a card and acts out what is on the card. No speaking, no sounds!
• The other guess.
  
• Guessed correctly? Next one picks a card.
  
• Write down how many you guessed correctly.
  
• Don't know? No point, move on to the next card.
