  • Shuffle the cards. 
  • Lay out the cards face down in rows.
  • The first player chooses two cards and carefully turns tem over.
  • If the two cards are a matching pair, then take the two cards and start a stack. The player is awarded another turn for making a match.
  • If the cards are not a match they are turned back over.  The next player takes a turn. The game is played clockwise.

Thanksgiving
The Pilgrim Fathers settled in America on November 21st 1620.
They almost starved that first winter. The native people gave them food and to say thanks for that they served a 'thanksgiving' meal in November 1621.
What happened to the native people after that ...???

  • each student must write down as many adjectives to describe the picture as he or she can think of. 
  • At the end of the minute, compare your lists. Any word both students listed gets crossed off. 
  • Each student gets one point for every remaining adjective and minus one point for every word which is not an adjective.
