Tijdens gesprekken: Stel een vraag wanneer je niet meer weet wat je moet zeggen.

Ga nooit terug naar het Nederlands; ze zullen je in de meeste gevallen niet snappen.

Tips to Improve Fluency

• Think aloud
• Start speaking, then think about what you are going to say
• Fill silence

• Use words from your language, then explain them

Speaking assignment

Give a short presentation (approximately 5 minutes) about your home town or village and the house you live in.

 

Answer the following questions in your presentation:

• What kind of place is it? (village or town?)

• What’s the most interesting part of your town/village?

• What kind of jobs do the people in your town/village do?

• Would you say it’s a good place to live? (Why?)

• What kind of accommodation do you live in?

• How long have you lived there?

• What do you like about living there?

• What sort of accommodation would you most like to live in?

How much time do I have?

You have 20 minutes to prepare your presentation and then you have to present it to the class.

You can make a PowerPoint presentation, a Prezi or just do it by heart.
