Writing exam: pitfalls and prep

Hey everyone,

This coming summer I am going to spend most of my vacation working in England. I want to improve my English and my working experience in another country.

I applied for a job at Sainsbury. That is a supermarket at a massive mall nearby where I want to stay the nights.

I am flying to England in the second week of the summer vacation. In addition, I will be flying home from in the last week of summer vacation.

My name is XX. I work as a shop assistant at Sainsbury. I’m looking for environmentally friendly carrier bags for our company.

I saw two of them on your website. And I find some information about the bags and I want know more information about the plastic bags. And I have some questions about the bags: How many plastic bags do you have in stock? Which colors do you have? How much are the plastic bags?

I want to know for how long I can use those bags?

Beceause i watn to work there this summer, i am going to aply for a job there at SainsBury’s. there for i will have to come to England ofcourse and i need a place to stay if i am working there. And beceause i stayed with you the last 2 summers for acouple of weeks, i was hoping i could stay with you again? I hope this is possible it would be a huge help to me. Our store would like to start using plastic bags that are less harmful to the environment. On the internet we found your more sustainable plastic carrier bags, and I would like to ask some questions about the degradable plastic bags.

Do you have the bags in stock? We already asked multiple companies for their sustainable bags, but they where all out of stock. Now I can understand that this will happen nowadays because of the extreme price raises that are happening, but I still hope that you have some bags left.

Second question, how much do they cost? I suppose they cost quite a lot more than the ones we use now, but we are willing to pay more of course if the quality is appropriate to the price.

And my last question and maybe a bit of an arrogant one, why should we buy these bags? Maybe if you could tell us your strong points and why it is better than that of your competition. But from what we have seen this should not be an problem and we will probably send an order soon.

We haven’t spoke each other in a long time. How are you? I’m doing great and I have some plans. It’s almost summer and I want to spend my summer working in England.
