Rules with that...

I can use that or who for people but that is NEVER used between two commas

My biology teacher, who is 68 years old, has just retired

Whose - for possession

Whose - come before a noun (zelfstandig naamwoord) 

John, whose father is a builder, is the same age as me.

Sophie, whose book is here, is my class.
