Find information on the gland you have chosen and, in 2 or 3 short paragraphs, answer the following questions:

• The gland
• The hormones it produces
• How the hormone is used in the body
• What happens wen the hormone is out of balance or the gland malfunctions

• What endocrine system problems are associated with that hormone or gland?
• How do those problems affect short- and long-term health?
• What can be done to prevent and/or treat those problems?
• What happens to the gland when the body is under acute stress? Chronic stress?
