In de ochtend = a.m./ na 12 uur 's middags = p.m.

Drie uur = three o'clock

Half uur = half past .... (half één wordt dus half past twelve)

Kwart over 3 = (a) quarter past three

Kwart voor 3 = (a) quarter to three

Tien over 1 = ten past one

Tien voor 1 = ten to one
