Bijvoeglijk naamwoord (adjective)

Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord zegt iets over een

zelfstandig naamwoord.

Zelfstandig naamwoorden zijn mensen, dieren, dingen

en je kunt er vaak de, het of een voor zetten.

Bijwoord (adverb)

Een bijwoord zegt iets over een werkwoord (de manier waarop iets gebeurt, actie in de zin).

Een werkwoord is iets wat je kunt doen: doewoord.

("beautifully" zegt iets over de manier van zingen.)
