its / it's 

its:    bezit, iets is van een ding

                  The dog has a bone in its mouth.

it's: - afkorting voor "it is" (de apostrof neemt de plaats van "i")

                   It's not a bone, it's a toy.

there / their / they're

there: plaatsen en posities

                         Put the box down there.      There are five cards.

their: bezit, iets is van hen 

                         That is their box.

they're: afkorting voor "they are" (de apostrof neemt de plaats van "a")

                          They're never going to use that box.

Troublesome words

where - were

where: waar (plaats)

                  That's where she found the gun. 

were: vorm van "to be"; een werkwoord

                   They were very tired after their trip.

Veelvoorkomende fouten:

1. Wisseling van tijd (I walk outside and saw a dog).
2. Spelling
3. Woordvolgorde


4. a/an, there/their/they're, where/were/we're, to/too
5. Ik = I (altijd met een hoofdletter!)
