Think of a country you would like to visit.

You will be put  in a group of 3. The other people in your group have to guess which country you're thinking of. However, you can only answer with yes or no!

In welke zin woon je er niet meer?--> Past Simple

  • Finished action with a result in the present
  • With an unfinished time word (this week, this month, today)


  • Finished action in the past

Past Simple

We use the past simple for past events or actions which are all over and done with. There is no connection to the present.

We use the present perfect for actions that started in the past but are still connected/visible in  the present.
