• personen, dieren: enkelvoud, eindigt niet op -s -> the boy's bike

• personen, dieren: meervoud, eindigt niet op -s -> the children's bikes

• tijdsaanduidingen: ev/ mv, eindigt niet op -s: -> yesterday's newspaper

• bij winkels of iemands thuis -> I'm going to the baker's/ hairdresser's/ my friend's. (Denk: the baker's shop/ the hairdresser's shop/ my friend's house.)

Herhaling genitive

Much en many betekenen allebei ‘veel’.
