What are W-questions?

Asking about past and present

Where do/did you work?                                             (Do, onregelmatig)
I work at the Albert Heijn.                                           (Work, regelmatig)
I worked at the Albert Heijn.

Where do/did you go?                                               

I go to Spain with my family every year.              (Go, onregelmatig)
Last year I went to France.

Past tense

Regular verbs: get +ed

work - worked, cook - cooked
If the word already has an -e you only need to add a +d
love - loved, liked - liked
Sometimes you have to add or change a letter:
stop - stopped, study - studied

Past tense

Irregular verbs, don't have a rule, you'll have to learn them:
Can - Could                    have - had
am - was                          make - made
are - were                        meet - met
do - did                             take - took
go - went                         sleep - slept
drink - drank                  eat - ate
