Nouns:  a word that is a name of something 
               such as a person, place, thing or idea
              (John, Hoorn, Boat, Friendship)

Verbs:    a word that tells about an action or a state            
                (Jump, Smile, Love)

Adjectives:  a word that describes a noun
                       (Blue Pen, Happy Unicorn)

Adverbs:    A word that says more about a verb
                     (barked loudly, whisper softly)

Pronouns:     A word that can replace a noun           
                         (She, He, It, We, Us, They, Them)

Prepositions:     Words that link nouns, pronouns and               
                             phrases to other words in a sentence
                             (on, under, in, at, about, above)

We use the Present Simple to describe HABITS and FACTS in the present

Examples:
  • He crawls to school every day
  • It rains, it pours.

She/He/It = Shit

If you can replace the noun with the pronouns she/he/it you add an ‘s’ to the end of the verb in the present tense

Examples:

The beautiful unicorn jumps in the rain

Bob runs around the field

I scream, she screams, he screams, we all scream for ice cream
