Questions: To be and auxiliary verbs (can, may...) ->  the verb at the beginning of the sentence.

You are the principal.           ->         Are you the principal?

You can tell me the time.    ->         Can you tell the time?

I may go to the bathroom.        ->       May I go to the bathroom?

Negations

You are the principal.           ->       You are not (aren't)the principal.

You can tell me the time.    ->       You cannot (can't) tell the time.   I may go to the bathroom.   ->   You may not go to the bathroom.

Present Simple

Staat er geen to be / to have got / can in de zin?

Dan gebruik je do / does om een vraag te maken.

Example: These animals live in Africa.

                     Do these animals live in Africa?

                    These animals do not (don't) live in Africa.

Past Simple: did/didn't

You were sick yesterday.   -> Were you sick yesterday?

                                                             You weren't sick yesterday.

I jumped far enough.   ->   Did I jump far enough?

                                                          I didn't jump far enough.

For each sentence make a question and negation(-)(?)

1. She studies 3 hours every day.

2. He is driving his new car.

3. The police have caught a robber.

4. I had finished cooking before the film began.

5. You could give me your key.

6. We were walking along the street.

7. It will rain tomorrow.

8. My brother arrived yesterday.

1. - She doesn't study 3 hours every day.                         ? Does she study 3 hours every day?

2. - He isn't driving his new car.                                            ? Is he driving his new car?

3. - The police haven't caught a robber.                           ? Have the police caught a robber?

4. - I hadn't finished cooking before the film began. ? Had I finished cooking before the film began?

5. - You couldn't give me your key.                                      ? Could you give me your key?

6. - We weren't walking along the street.                         ? Were we walking along the street?

7. - It won't (will not) rain tomorrow.                                    ? Will it rain tomorrow?

8. - My brother didn't arrive yesterday.                              ? Did my brother arrive yesterday?
