Past Simple

* Bij dingen die afgelopen zijn

* Bij dingen in het verleden waarvan je weet wanneer het was

* Om te praten over mensen die niet meer in leven zijn

Present Perfect

* Bij ervaringen tot nu toe

* Bij dingen die nu nog doorgaan

She has lived here since she was 11.

* Bij zaken die net afgelopen zijn en nu nog relevant zijn

I have just lost my keys, now I can't go inside.
