What do they want?
During the 19th century most countries had a constitutional monarchy. Liberals wanted poltical freedom in which citizens could elect their own government. Liberals supported a parliamentary system.

What is Confessionalism?
A social-poltical movement which is based on religion. During the 19th century the confessionals were protestants and catholics.
What do they want?
-The governmet should support the christian belief
-The government would pay for christian schools.
