- ad information -> AND, ALSO, BESIDES

- show contrast -> BUT, HOWEVER, ALTHOUGH

- reason -> BECAUSE, SINCE, THAT IS WHY

- consequence -> SO, AS A RESULT

- sequence -> FIRST, SECOND, THEN, FINALLY
