- WHen do we use Past continuous?
You use the  Past continuous to say something happened in the past for a longer time.

-  How do we form the Past continuous?
The Past continuous is formed by using was or were followed by the full  verb + ing:
Billy was thinking about baseball.
We were talking to the president.

Wanneer gebruik je Past Continuous?

  • Je gebruikt de Past Continuous om te zeggen dat iets in het verleden een tijdje duurde of een tijdje aan de gang was. 

  • Het verschil met de Past Simple is dus dat de Past Simple gaat om een moment, terwijl de Past Continuous gaat over een langere gebeurtenis
