Exam Preparation

Last year (some of) you did a reading exam.

Last week (some of) you did a listening exam.

You need to do 3 more exams...

Today I'm going to tell you more about the speaking exams.

I also have a short writing task for you.

Speaking Exams (A1 level)

Spreken: maak een presentatie en bereid deze goed voor!
Je moet 3-5 minunten in het Engels praten over een onderwerp. Je maakt voor de presentatie een mooie PowerPoint. Denk aan plaatjes en een paar steekwoorden (en maximaal 10 steekwoorden op papier )! Je mag bij de voorbereiding een woordenboek gebruiken.

Gesprekken: je maakt een praatje met mij. Dit kun je ook een klein beetje voorbereiden, ook hier mag je een woordenboek gebruiken, maar je weet nooit helemaal wat ik ga zeggen natuurlijk ;)

Speaking Exams (A1 level)

Als je nu niet zo zeker bent over je uitspraak, wees niet ongerust. 

Je hoeft echt niet als een Engelsman of -vrouw te klinken!

Maar je kunt wel oefenen. Ken bijvoorbeeld het alfabet (zie volgende slide)!

Want kun jij jouw naam bijvoorbeeld spellen?

Ken de dagen, maanden, jaren en andere getallen in het Engels. 

Kun je jezelf voorstellen?

Study the list with sentences!

I will post a document on Teams with sentences that I want you  to study for your presentation. But before then I will check if you know them! So make sure you start studying them from now on!

(I'll do a quick test next week!!!)

Writing Exam (A1 level)

In one hour, you need to do a few writing exercises. 

In the exam there are usually three or four.

Of course you can use a dictionary!

In the next couple of weeks you will receive some writing exercises
that you are going to do in class (and sometimes as homework).

Let's start now!

Opdracht:

Deze club doet mee aan een internationaal toernooi.

Jij schrijft je in met het formulier op de volgende slide.

Je mag kiezen uit de opties onderaan!

Exam Dates

This is not set in stone yet!

But the idea is to do the exams on these dates...

Presentations on: 4 March + 11 March

Conversations on: 25 March + 1 April (no joke)

Writing on: 15 April

Of course we will prepare for each of the exams during the lessons!
