Lesson 3 - Working with words

Today's goals

* You know the Dutch and English translations for the 'Bridging the Gap' words

* You can play a word game with other students and you can follow the rules.

GAME of CAN YOU? Do you remember the rules?

RULES Can You?

GROUPS of  4 PEOPLE

• The youngest of your group starts..
• Take a word out of the can in the middle of the table
• If you know the translation of the word you can keep the card 
• If you don't know it, your neighbour on your left can try. Right he/she keeps it. Wrong put the word next to the can.
• Take turns 
• Go clockwise

PUT THE WORDS IN THE CANS AND PUT THE CANS AWAY.

Take out your laptop

* Start up

* Go to:   blooket.com/play

* then wait for ID code

               LET'S PLAY!!!!!

PUT LAPTOP AWAY...then

* Find a partner to work with

* You will get stencil from the teacher.

* How many words do you remember?  Fill in the Dutch translations.
FINISHED? Quiz each other

How did you do?

* Did you understand and follow the rules of the game Can You?

STAND UP FOR YES!

* Do you know the Dutch and English translations for most of the 'Bridging the Gap' words?
STAND UP if you know at least half.

GET ON YOUR CHAIRS if you know most of the words!
