Present simple/continuous

Present simple:                                     I walk to school every day

Present Simple

Spelling - SHIT rule - he/she/it = verb +s

*Most verbs, add -s                                    He learns, works, walks

*Verbs that end in: -o, -s, -sh,               Go -> goes, miss -> misses
-ch, -x, and -zz, add -es                            watch -> watches

*Verbs ending in consonant + y           study -> studies
remove -y and add -ies                             carry -> carries

Irregular verbs

Present Continuous - spelling

*Most verbs, add -ing                                             playing, going

*Verbs end in -e?                                                      live -> living
Remove -e and add -ing                                       make -> making

*Verbs end in -ie?                                                     lie -> lying
Remove -ie and add -ying

*One-syllable verb end in vowel                       sit -> sitting
+ consonant. = double consonant + ing       swim -> swimming

Am/are/is + person + verb+ing + rest of sentence

Is she walking to school right now?
