What is the difference between sentence 1 and sentence 2?

1. I have bought shoes at that sneaker shop for 12 years.
2. I bought shoes at that store yesterday.

Past simple (v.t.)

Gebruik: Als je wilt zeggen dat iets gebeurde in het verleden (als iemand / groep mensen iets deed in het verleden);

 Bij de volgende signaalwoorden: 'yesterday',  'last Thursday', ' a century ago', 'in 1990' (tip: vertaal de tijdsbepaling)

Plak je altijd (dus bij: I, you, he, she, it , we , they) 

-werkwoord + ed (They walked to school yesterday)

-Werkwoord + d  (He cycled to the cinema two days ago). 

- werkwoord + ied (he hurried to the bus station this morning). (klinker + y = ied)

Present perfect (v.t.t.) 

*gebruik: iets startte in het verleden en gaat door/ je merkt het effect nu. 

Signaalwoorden: For, Yet, Never, Ever, Just, Already, Always, Since, How Long 

(FYNEJAASH) 

Formule: have/has + werkwoord + ed / +d / +ied   OF   have/has + 3e vorm (or ww) 

1.  I have never bungeejumped in my life. I would love to try it. 

2. How long have you lived in Kampen? 

3. She has just tidied her bedroom. (tidy -> tidied (opruimen)

My father and I didn't arrive at the bus stop in time. That's why we had to wait.

1. This sentence is written in the past tense.
2. This sentence is written in the present perfect tense.

She has already finished her meal. She's full up now.
