In Dutch we put the word "veel" in front of a pronoun,

in English we use one of the following four:

-  much

-   a lot of 

-  lots of

lots of (zeer informeel)

Examples:

- There were many books at the new comicbook shop. (boeken zijn telbaar)

- She has much time left. ("tijd" is niet telbaar)

- He drank a lot of water. ( a lot of kan bij zowel telbaar als ontelbaar)
