When do we use it?
MIGHT
  • Is used to express future possibility.  --> She might give us a discount.

SHOULD
  • Is used to give advice . --> You should try this new restaurant.

COULD
  • Is used to give a suggestion. --> You could write her a letter.

3 Main rules to remember
The main verb comes without “to”
  • I might eat pizza.                     Main verb: “to eat”

Modal verbs take no ‘s’ in the 3rd person singular
  • She could leave.          NOT --> She coulds leave.

Add “not” between modal verb and the main verb to form a negative
  •  He should not drive tonight.        OR        He shouldn't drive tonight.
