You are going to practice your speaking skills.

You are going to learn new vocabulary around the topic: 'travel'.

Warming-up

Where in the world 

have you traveled to?

12 questions about work.

Work in groups of 4-5.

You will get 12 question cards.

Put them upside down on the table.

Turn one card. Each student will answer the question. 

Turn the next card. Etc.

Take turns being the one to answer the question first.

To become a good speaker ... be a good listener.

An engaging conversation is not just about what you say, but also how you listen. Try to remember the needs, comments and ideas that others mention when talking to you and refer to those when speaking. Listening closely and echoing others’ earlier comments can help you give the speaker your undivided attention.

"Could you elaborate on that please?"

Asking questions is one of the best ways to engage in a conversation because it shows that you're paying attention to what the other person has to say.

Use W-H questions.
