What is reported speech?

Reported speech is the way you retell another person's words without quoting using "He/she said" statements

Neutral:

"I went to school."

"I like ice cream."

"I am living in London."

"You can't do that."

Reported speech:

"He said he went to school."

"She said (that) she liked ice cream."

"She said she was living in London."

"She told him that he could not do that."
