Stap 1: kijk naar de zin. Staan er signaalwoorden die aangeven dat het vaker (niet) gebeurt? often, always, sometimes, etc.--> Ga naar stap 3

Stap 2: kijk naar de zin. Staan er signaalwoorden die aangeven dat het nu gebeurt? now, at the moment, listen! --> ga naar stap 4

Stap 3: pas de regels van de Present Simple toe:

Stap 3a: is het onderwerp I, you of meervoud --> schrijf het hele werkwoord op

Stap 3b: is het onderwerp he, she of it --> schrijf het hele werkwoord + s of +es

Stap 4: pas de regels van de Present Continuous toe

Stap 4a: is het onderwerp I? --> am + hele werkwoord + ing

Stap 4b: is het onderwerp he, she, it? --> is + hele werkwoord + ing
