GOALS

Gerund = Is een werkwoord waar je ing achter zet. De gerund gebruik je NA werkwoorden als: Love, Stop, Start, Enjoy

Bijvoorbeeld: I love travelling 

                             They enjoy swimming

Let op: de gerund is geen 'tijd' zoals de present continuous

Een 'gerund' (werkwoord + ing) gebruik je als zelfstandig naamwoord. Je gebruikt dit bij drie verschillende situaties:

1. als onderwerp

Singing is fun!

  2. na werkwoorden als:

love, stop, start, enjoy, quit, hate...

  3. na voorzetsels als:

about, to, at, from, after, on, in...

Gerund = hele werkwoord als
zelfstandig naamwoord

Een gerund is een..

1. ..zelfstandig naamwoord dat gebruikt wordt als een werkwoord.
2. ..werkwoord dat gebruikt wordt als een zelfstandig naamwoord.
